Project Painting with Connor

Fathers Day is around the corner and we've been making odds and ends. Today we set up a little shade station for Connor to paint.... I had primed all the pieces ahead of time. Connor painted all the pieces and me too! We had fun. During his nap, I finished the messaging... turned out cute for making something out of scrap wood and odds and ends I had on hand already (eyelet screws, chains, paint and wood). The only thing we bought was the stars--Connor helped pick those out at Walmart During our run this morning.

Blake's Door Hanger

Love this beachy door hanger. The pattern was a little off from the instructions to the design for 6x10 hoop but we made it work. This is a great entrance that matches the colors of his room perfectly for a Sand Castles & Beach Balls!

Made these for Connor and Blake--they were brother gifts I had ready at the hospital when Blake was born and when Connor came to meet Blake for the first time.

Gift for Brandon's mom

I did this applique embroidery for Brandon's mom for Mother's Day. It's a comfy knit. The hoop left a funny mark on it. I'm sure that will wash right out. May add grandkids name underneath.

Names on Towels

My second hooded towel project. These towels were pre-made and sent from Mom/Sister-in-law. It was hard to put the hood in the hoop. I didn't even try the 5x7. Got em in the 4x4 and was limited in text size (especially with longer name). I wanted to keep the text similar for both....
I put the names on the sides of the towels as well. I think that helped. When they wrap them around they'll have it right there in front. Another learning experience.

My outdoor fabric pillowcases are all ready for when my weather pillow forms arrive tomorrow. They'll complete the dining set we just bourbon the backyard! Can't wait to have my first little meal out there!!

Welcome Baby, Book

We made this book to welcome Baby from Daisy & Connor. We made one from Daisy to Connor prior to him being born. This book has all the baby nursery colors.

Gifts for Chelsea & Baby

We did a little flannel receiving blanket, a diaper changing mat clutch, & a latchy catchy (to keep the door quiet when checking on baby). She has a gray and duckling yellow theme, I thought this fabric would suit well for neutral. Connor helped me pick out the fabric. The gray and white chevron matched one of the backgrounds in the multi colored patterned fabric with elephants. Fun to make.

Crib Skirt

Made a crib skirt to match the window balance for the baby's beach balls and sand castles nursery!
(Having trouble with the beach balls... they just turn out do goofy.. we'll see!)
