The tree playmat blanket completed

What a neat project- to think I had 99% of all these materials right on hand. This is going to complete the shower gift

Gifts for shower!

So after being set back with a sinus infection for 8+ days... I finally found some inspiration and creativity to put my shower gifts together for our brother and sister-in-law.

We picked up something from their registry and added it to a breastfeeding caddy (pockets added to a mini bucket). I filled it with a bunch of things I could remember needing.

We made a cute little apron for the big sister...

We also have the play blanket that still needs to be finished but I'm excited about the little tree and texture fabric leaves.

And then there's the "Cousin Connor" book that we wrote. To think before this morning, that book was all we had to give... Crazy how a little inspiration can help you do so much!

Apron

Made this apron for our sew club's Christmas exchange. Have had these three fabrics forever and haven't put them into a project until now... I think the prints actually mixed well! I made it in a universal size. These colors are definitely me and are actually Brandon's team colors... It was fun to make even with a sinus head cold :(

Daisy's Blanket

Had to put something together for Daisy after collecting pictures and Tshirts from all the Waggin' at the Water Park events we've been to.  She loves swimming and that event is a highlight of our year!  Had to put the fleece side and backing to it since that's her favorite to cuddle.

Lady Bug!

Our friend has a brand new niece, Quinn. When I asked if there was a nursery theme or anything that could inspire me, our friend said that Quinn was referred to as a Lady Bug throughout the entire pregnancy because she looked like a Lady Bug in the ultrasound. The baby shower had a lady bug theme and the nursery has animals. I think this lady bug rag quilt and tie blanket will go nicely!

There is a pattern for the lady bug, but I thought it was too simple so I drew it up myself. We had two yards of red and black flannel. I drew out a radius using the flexible tape measure and sidewalk chalk. The radius is 20" and 45* wedges. What a cute theme!
